Family Faith Formation

As parents, you teach your children through your example every day. You teach them to walk, talk, tie their shoes, and say their prayers. It is in the family that children learn to love and serve God. The most important task you have as parents is to help your children to become saints! Our faith formation program is designed to help you do just this! Building upon the Second Vatican Council’s teaching that the family is the domestic church, our program offers parents a prominent role in their children’s religious education while providing them with inspiring teaching materials, lesson plans, and helpful tips. Our program typically runs from September to May and each month consists of two parts:

  • Classroom Lessons: During a monthly church gathering (may be virtually), children meet in grade-specific class settings while parents gather for adult catechesis.
  • Home Lessons: Parents, equipped with materials and an understanding of the weekly lessons, teach their children the Faith.

The mission of Family Faith Formation is to help parents/guardians respond to the Church’s call to be “the first and foremost educators of their children.”  Our purpose is to aid families as they grow in their love and knowledge of the Catholic Faith
