My name is Father Jude Chinonye Chukwuma and I was born in Nigeria. I am the fourth in a family blessed with seven children, four boys and three girls. My major seminary formation in Nigeria spanned from 2001 to 2005 for philosophical studies and from 2006 to 2010 for my theological studies where I got my degrees in both philosophy and theology.

My ordination to the sacred priesthood was on July 10, 2010 for the Catholic Diocese of Nnewi Nigeria. After my ordination, from 2010 to 2017, I held the following pastoral assignments as an associate pastor and also an administrative position as the Director of Outreach program Nnewi Diocese before travelling for further studies in 2017. My experience in Rome, Italy was quite interesting and revealing, the learning of new language and experiencing a new culture was not easy but it was worth it. I obtained a licentiate degree in Canon Law and also a diploma in praxis and ecclesiastical jurisprudence from the faculty of Canon Law Pontifical Urban University Rome.

In July 2025, Bishop Burns appointed me as the parochial vicar of St Patrick Parish Dallas and also to work part-time in the Diocesan Tribunal Dallas. Trusting in God’s grace and in your prayers and co-operation, we will work together as a family to do His will and make the world a better place.
