Renewal Campaign Pushes Toward $2M
“Therefore the Lord himself will give you this sign: the virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall name him Emmanuel.” (Is 7:14)
As of December 14, over 600 parish households have made a gift or pledge to the Renewal Campaign totaling $1,921,953. Can we reach $2 million? We hope so. In addition to the needs outlined in the campaign flyer, there are always additional repairs and upgrades that come with a facility as large as ours. So every gift and pledge is still needed and appreciated.
The Campaign is now in its final phase, and we would like to wrap it up by the end of the year. Remeber, even the smallest pledge helps us when we apply for grants. But, even if you are not in a position to support the campaign, please send a short note to Fr. Josef. That will tell us to take your name off the list for any final Campaign mailings.
See the CAMPAIGN BROCHURE and PLEDGE FORM and join our efforts to renovate the interior of St. Patrick Church! (PLEDGE FORM INSTRUCTIONS).
Children’s Gifts Matched 10:1
The Council of Catholic Women is offering a matching grant to recognize, honor, and encourage children and teens of the parish to take part in the campaign. Here’s how it works. A young person’s gift is matched 10 to 1 by the CCW. For example, a $5 gift will be matched by $50 from the CCW matching grant, up to a total matching grant of $15,000. If the children and teens of the parish collectively contribute $1,500, the CCW will match it with the full $15,000.
To make their gift, young people should:
- Print their name, and their parents’ names, on a piece of paper.
- Put the paper, along with their gift, in an envelope.
- Print “Renewal” on the envelope.
- Drop in the Sunday collection.
We are thankful to our young people and the Council of Catholic Women for their interest in the Renewal Campaign.
About the Project
Based upon an extensive parish survey conducted in March, 2010, the primary objectives of the project include better sound and lighting, new flooring, pew refurbishment, and handicap accessible restrooms. For common questions and answers about the project, CLICK HERE.
Making a Gift or Pledge
The campaign pledge period is ‘up to’ five years. Within that period, you have the flexibility of deciding how you would like to schedule your gift or pledge. For example, many people have already turned in their pledge form, but plan to begin payments early in 2011. When you give is up to you; we simply need your pledge form so that we can proceed with construction planning.
If you are able to make a ‘down payment’ it will help us fulfill the Diocesan requirement to have 50% of cash in-hand before beginning construction. Pledge forms are available in the vestibule of the church or in the church office, or you can download a PLEDGE FORM HERE.
