Friday Night Lights Filming Fundraiser

 

Come join us in a Fun, Family, Friday Night Lights Filming Fundraiser at the Cotton Bowl.  The NBC Friday Night Lights TV series is filming its final episode July 16th and 17th at the Cotton Bowl on the Dallas Fairgrounds and wants to pay us to be extras on the show! If you choose to attend, and raise money for our church, fill out an appearance release form to bring to the shoot. This is going to be a fun family event with boxed lunches provided on both days, raffles, games, and more.  Help us raise money for St. Patrick programs!

                              GROUP CHECK-IN INFORMATION

 

FILMING DATES

We will be filming on Friday 7/16/10 and Saturday 7/17/10.  Check with your group to make sure which day or days you have been signed up to participate on.  Space is limited, so only show up on the day(s) that your group has registered.

 

CHECK-IN TIME:

Group Check-in will take place between 6:00PM and 7:00PM on FRIDAY 7/16/10. Group Check-in will take place between 4:30PM and 5:30PM on SATURDAY 7/17/10.  Be sure to arrive early to get the best seats!!  Due to the number of participants, we will NOT be able to check-in groups arriving more than an hour late. You do not need to be with your entire group in order to check in, but if you would like to sit together you should arrive together

 

WHERE WILL FILMING TAKE PLACE

The Cotton Bowl – 3750 Midway Plaza, Dallas, TX  75210 (at Fair Park)

 

CHECK-IN LOCATION

Look for ‘NEPI’ signs that will direct you to the correct parking lot at/near the Cotton Bowl. Once you have parked, you will be directed to the proper gate for check-in. Parking for participants is FREE as long as you are parked in the designated ‘NEPI’ lot located at Fair Park – Gate 11 (off of Fitzhugh Ave and Lagow St.)  You will walk to the Cotton Bowl from this lot.

 

CHECK-IN PROCEDURE

Make sure to have one completed Photo Release form, with your group name printed in bold letters at the top, for each person.  You will need a different form for each person for each day you participate. Proceed to the check-in tables, hand in your release form and let us know the name of your group. Although you are part of a group, each person attending must check in personally. You will be given a Welcome Form with a blue meal ticket attached.  Be sure to keep your meal ticket in a safe place, as only ONE ticket per person will be issued.  You will also be given a raffle entry form that should be completed and put into the raffle drum BEFORE entering the stadium. Once all of your paperwork is complete, you will then be directed where to sit for the event. Be aware that you may be moved around quite a bit during the day.

 

HOW LONG WILL FILMING TAKE

You will be expected to stay with us for the duration of our filming day, which can last anywhere from 6-8 hours. Early departure before the end of your filming day will result in a reduction in the total amount donated to your group

 

WHAT WILL BE PROVIDED

We will be providing unlimited water and lemonade throughout the day. We will also provide you with a boxed meal, which you will redeem your blue meal ticket for during designated breaks.  Stadium concessions will NOT be open for purchases.  There will be an MC and various crowd participation games for your entertainment. We will also have ongoing raffles for great prizes and on-the-spot giveaways!  Look for people tossing out ‘official’ “Friday Night Lights” t-shirts!!! If that’s not enough, you will also get the chance to see your favorite “FNL” actors and possibly see yourself on NBC television!!

 

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING

Come dressed and ready to cheer on the hero team, the East Dillon Lions and the opposing team, the Hudgins Hawks!!!  Please dress in casual, comfortable, clothing (no logos, no bright colors, no shorts or flip-flops!) with as much red & black (Lions) and burnt orange (Hawks) as possible.  Please bring BOTH sets of colors. Please bring an umbrella or other type of shade device to keep cool.  If you have any special dietary or medical needs, please come prepared with any necessary food or supplies. Make sure to bring with you a lot of energy and enthusiasm!! Coolers with snacks & beverages are permitted inside The Cotton Bowl, however absolutely NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES. All coolers will be checked and alcohol will not be tolerated.

WIN great prizes for the best signs!!!  Visit NBC.com to find out more about the teams, to get player (cast) info and to help you create the perfect team spirit sign!  Make sure to only use character names and not real actors names. 

 

GENERAL INFORMATION

There is NO SMOKING inside The Cotton Bowl.  NO personal cameras or video cameras are permitted during filming.  There will be a set medic on staff for any medical issues that may arise. We apologize but we cannot allow children under the age of 10 to participate.

 

DONATION PROCEDURE

After completion of the event, once we receive your group totals, we will issue a check to your group.
